SATs Information Evening 2016

Year 6 Suggested Reading List

In year 6, Mrs Butterworth teaches class 7 and Miss Elliott teaches class 8.

Mrs Dowling and Mrs Selkirk support the children in maths. Mrs Selkirk also team teaches in Science.

Mrs Megias and Mr McMorrow work with both classes.

In Year 6 we aim to create an exciting and interesting learning environment where children continue to develop a love for learning. The children have the opportunity to take on many additional responsibilities this year and this helps to prepare them for the challenges of secondary education.

Throughout the year we will be preparing for the end of KS2 SATs test.

We also look forward to our residential trip and summer production, which the children thoroughly enjoy.

The School Week

The following information is specific to our year group and outlines the routines of our week:

  • Spellings are tested on a Thursday and a new spelling set is given out the next day to learn for the following week.
  • Outdoor PE is on a Thursday afternoon for both classes. Please ensure that your child has the correct kit in school in preparation for both of these sessions.
