Lepra Fundaraising Fortnight

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome back to the summer term. I hope that all had a good break and feel rested. We were joined this morning by Eileen Evans, a representative from Lepra; a charitable organisation that supports thousands of people throughout the world who suffer from this terrible disease. She has challenged the children over the next two weeks to raise a few pounds in support of their work. They could offer to wash the dishes or the family car, take out the rubbish or carry out any other small gesture that demonstrates their willingness to do things for others.

Anyone that manages to raise over £25 will receive a special bendy, clip on alarm clock! The children will take part in an exciting Zumba session on the 25th April in recognition of their hard work and the valuable contributions they make to the charity.

Your child will bring home with them a pack that explains the different ways they can raise a few pounds over the coming fortnight. Raising awareness of the Common Good is an important way of helping the children’s to understand the challenges that are prevalent in today’s world. Thank you all in advance of your continued support.

Yours faithfully
