Headteacher’s Newsletter – Friday 21st July 2017
We have arrived at the end of another academic year and look forward to taking some rest over the weeks ahead. The children have had a successful year and should feel very proud of their achievements. In some senses it only seems like yesterday when Fr Tom celebrated mass to start the academic year and so much has happened in between. I was looking through the school twitter feed last weekend and couldn’t believe just how many events we have held or participated in; next year will continue at a similar pace! We say goodbye to Year 6 today and wish them all the very best of luck at their new schools. They celebrated a lovely liturgy together as a year group on Tuesday to mark the penultimate celebration of their time at Ss Alban & Stephen. The leavers’ assembly always proves to be an emotional affair and once again this was the case. I would like to wish you all a peaceful and happy summer and on behalf of the staff to thank you for your overwhelming generosity.

Autumn Fair – September 23rd
A huge thank you to everyone who has already volunteered to run stalls. We are now in good shape for a fantastic fair. To everyone else, please offer to help when you are asked in September. We need LOTS of people from setting up at 9am through to clearing up at 3pm so plan to set aside an hour to volunteer as well as enjoying yourself.
Have a wonderful Summer and see you all in September.
Goodbye – We say goodbye not only to our Year 6 children and many families who have had a long association with the school but to three members of staff, Miss Elliot, Mrs Dowling and Miss Birney. I would like to thank them for their service to the school and the high standards they set for the children. You will be sorely missed. You leave our community today but please remember that you are welcome back here at any time. All the very best of luck in your future ventures and God bless.

Walk With Me
Walk with me in golden sun
Walk with me in rain
Walk with me in happiness
Walk with me in pain
Walk with me at the morning time
When the world is light
Walk with me when evening comes
Watch me through the night
HAVE A LOVELY SUMMER HOLIDAY AND SEE YOU ALL ON THE 4TH SEPTEMBER!
