Headteacher’s Newsletter – Friday 12th January 2018
The work on the redevelopment of the field is nearly complete. The tarmac was laid very quickly on Monday morning which meant that the rubber surface could be put down early on Tuesday. The carpet fitters are putting the finishing touches to what will become the new pitch ready for the sand and shredded rubber to be poured early next week. The final handover meeting between the school and the contractors takes place next week ready for the children to use the new facility from January 22nd! It has been a very positive experience for the school and we are all very pleased with the way the project has turned out. We are looking forward to playing home football matches in the near future and for the children and community to enjoy the new facility.
We have received the final arrangements for the funeral of Fr Tom Hewitt MSC from the parish office. Please see below for further details. Please remember to send your child to school in a warm coat which is clearly labelled during the cold winter months. The boys football team played against Bowmansgreen on Wednesday and were unfortunately beaten 4 – 0. Keep working hard boys results will come your way with hard work and determination.
