Welcome to Year 5

Everyone is very excited and is settling into life in the school.  Please do not hesitate to speak with us if you have any queries.  Thank you for your continued support in helping your child with their reading, times tables and other homework.

We look forward to continuing to work alongside you in educating your child for the rest of the academic year.

Kind Regards,

Homework.

This weeks home work is:

Maths: You have all received a sheet from your maths teacher, relating to multiplication or fractions.

Science: Please research the Earth, Sun and Moon for our topic. Please bring in the facts that you research by Tuesday.

Class 6 have also been asked to complete their Science topic front cover.

Welcome to our new class page!

Welcome to our new year 5 page.

As this website is as new to us as it is to you, please excuse any mistakes as we are learning how to use it. We hope to be putting on some photos from our recent trips and more news about life in year 5.

Our trip on Thursday to the Natural History Museum and the Science Museum was a resounding success, even if we were evacuated from the Science Museum due to a fire alarm. We were very impressed with how the children reacted calmly and sensibly. Thank you to all the parents who helped on the trip. We look forward to our next trip which will be on Thursday 9th June, to the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir (Neasden Hindu temple). You will receive more details closer to the time.

I’m sure you will all be very glad to know that there is/was no homework this weekend, to let you enjoy the sunshine and, importantly, for those families with siblings in year 3 who were celebrating the Sacrament of their First Holy Communion. The same will apply for next weekend, but ensure that your child is reading for 15 minutes each night – recording it in their diaries, and practising their times tables.
